Got too busy with work! No excuses.

I didn't get to cash in my money orders so I am stuck with them till tomorrow. Contacted some of the sellers but only one returned my call with positive feed back. I arranged meeting with him for next week (at his earliest convenience) so if another opportunity presents itself I'll keep you informed.

Early in the morning

Woke up a little earlier than usual and started looking at things to invest in for a quck turn around. Figured I would try to turn a profit on some used motorcycles. Why Motorcycles? The increasing price of gas is first and foremost but I took into account that a cheap quick ride is an important must for getting to work for the average working man or woman. I found two motorcycles, (1) 86' @ $500.00 obo and (1) 88' @ $800.00 on the local market. I won't give the Models and specifics for various reasons until I purchase one of the bikes. Remember I have set the budget at $1000.00 and plan to double that money in 45 days. So if I don't plan it right I could really screw myself and have to fork up more money than I have investedor on hand. I have to take into account the price of title, clean up, maybe a tune-up, maintenance, transport fee (if necessary), and insurance. I know a little something about motorcycles because I ride one but I know nothing mechanical about motorcycles. So I looked at Kelley Blue Book for motorcycle values on these types of motorcycles and found some interesting things, which of course I'll post after I purchase a bike. Post a point of view on my plan or your input. Talk to you soon.

Going to get cash

I am going to the PX or post exchange (for some of you who don't know what this is, it's the military equivalent to Wal-Mart) tomorrow and cash in a few money orders that I utilize to have funds on hand. I should have the $1000 tomorrow. I'll see if I can post a picture of the money orders or the cash I can pool tomorrow. I also started the 45 day clock today at approximately 1900 hours or 7PM 2 Aug 2009 and will end 16 Sept 2009. I will update this blog as situations or opportunities arise that change my financial standings +/-. I will record and update all data as accurately as possible and input personal items in a seperate paragraph.

Let's be clear about this, this whole venture is about personal monetary empowerment as well as sharing the experience(s) bad and good on that journey. I am sure I'll make mistakes, but remember it's the end goal we focus on not the bumps in the road. So please join me as we begin this hopefully exciting journey.
